I don't have a kiln : it's a choice
I use a shared kiln in a simple and collaborative approach
Il work with few tools, intentionally :
a smooth-bladed knife for sculpting,
carving tools for hollowing out the pieces,
brushes for applying color.
For the clay, I choose a grogged stoneware
for its texture
for the raw look it reveals
the colors come to life thanks to the engobes for their soft matte finish
and for the freedom they offer ; the freedom to create unique, custom shades.
